That you could have breakfast in your room.
The room was comfortable and the price was competitive bar staff very friendly and helpful
The price was great however the room was a little tired and dated but overall clean.
staying at night, thats all
nothing, every thing normal
Free car parking and the hotel was in easy reach of the city centre, rooms were clean but very worn.
Bathroom very worn, TV limited channels, faulty remote control, very limited choice in restaurant. The restaurant was very basic with poor layout.
The thing that i liked the best at Britannia Hotel Aberdeen was the downstairs pub.
The room was clean enough we can see why other think not. as there were a few rusty items in the bathroom however was good for value. we liked the idea of the swimming pool however we did not get the chance to use it as our own timetable was delayed and we ran out of time. It was good for the price after all we were not expecting a 5* hotel experience
We didnt like the fact that if you ask for a cot they leave it outside the room for you to put up. most places have it built and made in the room for you. The staff that i dealt with were friendly enough but they did not seem to want to do more for you. i also did not like the extra fee for using a switch card. only cash does not have the extra fee. i did not see this when filling in the booking form.
unable to get an evening meal on Sunday night. Swimming pool shut all weekend.
Convenience of hotel as it is close to local amenities
The 6 of us like the fact that we are well treated by very pleasant and helpful staff at Reception and that our rooms are always a decent size and always very clean.
on our arrival the reception and bar staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and spacious. We were staying as we had an early morning flight and the hotel was ideally placed nearby the airport
The bar was advertised and providing meals but the chef decided to close early leaving some people with no place to eat as the only other restaurant had a very limited and pricey set menu, it left us with half a meal and no desserts. The food was fair but my daughters macaroni was very watery and she coud not eat it. When we went for our early check out at 5.15am ther was no reception staff at the desk, another guest was also their and had been looking for reception for at least half ann hour.
The room was an excellent size and the pool was well kept.
Disappointed that not even a continental breakfast was included in the price, but even so, it was good value.
it was clean and comfortable and relaxing and value for money will do it again defanatly
We mainly used the hotel as a base for a romantic weekend / shopping trip. The staff were very friendly and helpfull. We both used the swimming pool, sauna, steam room and I used the gym. The facilities were excellent, the only extra we had to pay for at the leisure complex were towels but these were very reasonably priced and there was a free, cold water dispenser too. Our room was warm and comfortable and tea and coffee making facilities were available we were also provided with some complimentary biscuits. The TV had a good choice of channels and even some radio channels were available on it. All in all a pleasant experience.
The only thing I did not like about the hotel was the outside view of it, it looked rather old fashioned by design, but, I feel that is rather petty as the interior was clean, tidy and welcoming. The positive aspects of our stay far outweigh this minor aesthetic negative.
The best thing about this hotel was it's location to the University of Aberdeen.
This hotel is very tired, and all things about it are tired. This was the poorest meal I have had in any hotel. The attitude of the staff was one of indiference. This was more like a working mans lodgings.
A good hotel reasonably price with a good service, clean and well presented
I consider that perhaps the Breakfast facilities could be arranged better to avoid crisscrossing the room ie juice glasses with the juice, and maybe having the cereal in serving size packets, this would possible ease some of the work on the staff
